Overcast is a Nigerian e-business marketplace that helps independent vendors present their products online and helps buyers discover, order, and communicate about products in one place.
What we do
Overcast provides the technology and marketplace tools that connect buyers with independent vendors. Vendors can create a shop presence, publish product listings, manage stock and availability, set delivery areas, communicate with customers, and track orders. Buyers can browse public listings, search by category, compare products, add items to a cart, place order-specific payments, and follow the progress of their orders.
Each vendor remains responsible for the products they list, the accuracy of their information, their prices, stock, fulfilment, and the delivery or collection arrangements they offer. Overcast provides the marketplace tools; it is not the shipping carrier and does not take responsibility for a vendor's physical delivery service.
How the marketplace works
- 1Discover: browse products and vendor shops, use search and categories, and review the information provided in each listing.
- 2Choose: select a product, quantity, and an available delivery or collection location shown by the vendor.
- 3Order: confirm the order details and complete the order-specific payment through the payment method presented at checkout.
- 4Complete: the buyer and vendor communicate through the order process, the product is delivered or collected, and the order is completed under the applicable marketplace rules.

Safety and responsible use
We use account authentication, server-side authorisation, database access controls, payment-event verification, idempotent order processing, security logging, reporting tools, and moderation controls to help protect the marketplace. These measures reduce risk but cannot eliminate every risk associated with online transactions, delivery, networks, or independent vendors.
Users must provide accurate information, protect their accounts, communicate honestly, and use Overcast only for lawful activity. Vendors must list products accurately and buyers should inspect product, delivery, and payment details before confirming an order. Full rules are in our Terms of Service and Privacy Notice.
Payments, delivery, and support
Payments are tied to a specific order and payment reference. A cart is a convenience list that starts separate item payments. The application records order and payment status so that delivery confirmation, cancellations, refunds, disputes, and eligible vendor settlement can be handled according to the order state, payment confirmation, provider rules, and our published terms. Overcast does not present itself as a bank or as a general-purpose stored-value wallet provider.
Vendors and buyers are responsible for agreeing and following the delivery or collection details shown for an order. If something goes wrong, use the order support flow or contact us with the order ID and payment reference. Never send a password, transaction PIN, or payment secret by email.
